Managing Custom Tables in the Shopranos Admin
Custom Tables are managed in the Shopranos admin at https://shopadmin.shopranos.eu, under
Settings → Developer Tools → Custom Tables. The page is available when the company has the
Advanced customization module and the user has the Customization permission. The table list#
The list shows every table of the company with its Name, Identifier, number of Fields,
Schema version, Storefront visibility and Last changed date. Records in the actions
column opens the table's records.Search matches the table name or identifier (case-insensitive). It does not search inside
records.
The quota line shows how many tables are in use, for example 12 of 50 tables used. At the limit,
creating is blocked: Table limit reached (50). Delete a table to create another one.
Creating a table#
Select Create Table. A table page has two tabs:Configuration: the table's details, visibility and fields.
Data: its records. This tab appears once the table has been saved.
Details#
| Setting | Notes |
|---|
| Identifier | Lowercase letters, digits and underscores, starting with a letter, up to 50 characters. Cannot be changed after creation. |
| Name | Display label. Free text; can be changed at any time. |
If the identifier already belongs to a table, the admin asks Replace the existing table? before
overwriting that table's definition with Replace table.Storefront visibility#
Turn on Publish to the storefront to let the storefront read the table. Anyone visiting the shop
can then read every record and every field of it, so never publish a table holding private data.
Turning publishing on or off can take up to 5 minutes to reach the storefront, because storefront
responses are cached.Fields#
Each field has a Field name, a Type (Text, Number, Yes / No or Date & time),
and two switches: Required and Queryable.Add field adds a row; Remove marks one for removal after a Remove field? confirmation.
Nothing changes until the table is saved.
Counters show the field quota ({used} of 50 fields) and the queryable budget
({used} of 10 queryable).
A table needs at least one field, and field names must be unique.
Saving a table replaces its whole definition and raises the schema version. When fields have been
removed or their type changed, the admin lists them and asks Save schema changes? first.
Existing records are not migrated: values already stored in removed fields stay on each record and
are still returned by the record endpoints, and shown by a storefront component that lists every
field, until the record is saved again without them. See Schema changes and versioning in
Custom Tables Overview.Working with records#
Open the Data tab of a table.Create Record opens the record editor for a new record; selecting a record opens it for
editing.
Import loads records from a CSV file. See Importing Records from CSV.
Records can be deleted one at a time or in bulk. Deleting a record cannot be undone.
Saving a record does not save unsaved changes on the Configuration tab. Switching between the
tabs keeps both the configuration draft and the record filters. The Configuration tab is locked
while the record editor or the importer is open. The record editor#
The Values section has one input per field; Date & time fields use a date picker. Text values
are trimmed. A record can hold up to 64 KB of data; a larger one is refused with a message that
shows its size.If saving fails, the editor keeps your changes so you can try again.Entity links#
The Entity links section ties a record to platform entities.Add link adds a Link type and Link ID pair; Remove link marks one for removal after
a confirmation. Changes apply when the record is saved.
Up to 50 links per record.
Link type: up to 64 characters from A-Z a-z 0-9 _ -, for example product.
Link ID: up to 256 characters from A-Z a-z 0-9 . _ : / # -. Use the entity's id as the
platform shows it.
Links to product, brand, category and collection are picked up automatically by the
storefront component. See Designing Fields, Queries and Links for what links do and do not do.Filtering records#
Filters offers one filter per queryable field. All active filters must match.| Field type | Matches |
|---|
| Text | Records containing the text, ignoring case. |
| Number, Yes / No | Exactly the value entered, including 0 and No. |
| Date & time | A From and a To date (YYYY-MM-DD). Both days are included, and dates are compared as UTC calendar days. |
To find the records linked to one entity, enter a Link type and Link ID and select
Filter by linked entity; Clear link filter removes it. The link filter combines with the
field filters, and Clear Filters clears both. There is no free-text search across records.Deleting a table#
Only empty tables can be deleted: delete all of a table's records first. Several empty tables can
be deleted at once from the list. Modified at 2026-10-07 13:15:41
